It is not just photographs. It is savoring the moment, in art.
Imagery that makes a statement — built for the client who wants their portraiture to be felt, not scrolled past.
Serving Washington, D.C. and the surrounding region with signature pieces: dramatic images, an exceptional experience, and prints worth passing down.
The goal is simple. You should feel like the most important person in the room. My name is Brandon, and I am a photographer in Washington D.C.

Originally from the blue-collar city of Buffalo, New York, Brandon relocated to Washington, D.C. in 2007 looking for a change. That change arrived in 2010, when he picked up a camera and curiosity took over.
After photographing his first couple's session in 2013, the work became a calling. That couple saw a version of themselves they did not know existed — it refreshed a ten-year relationship and led to their 2014 wedding.
Since then Brandon has become an educator in the industry, speaking first at the 2019 Shutterfest Conference, and has had the privilege of working with Salamander Hotels, the Washington Wizards Dance Team, and the Washington Football Team Cheerleaders.
"This is the biggest day for the both of you, and I want to make sure you get the guidance that makes it feel that way — timeless heirlooms that express your connection. I would love nothing more than to learn your story as we take this journey I am honored to capture."

Getting married in Washington, D.C. or the surrounding region? Brandon S. Hunter and team document your day with intention — dramatic light, honest emotion, and images built to be printed, framed, and handed down.
Your photographer is the one vendor who stays with you from the first look to the last dance. Hire the person whose work you already love, and who already knows the story you want told.

Before the vows, there is the yes. Engagement sessions built around the most cinematic corners of the District — the Cathedral, the memorials, Union Station, the water at golden hour.
We style it, light it, and direct it so the two of you look exactly like the story you already are. Come as you are. Leave with art.

All creation is beautiful, but creating life is the ultimate experience a mother can have. There is nothing more radiant than a mother-to-be — so let's match it with imagery worthy of the moment.
Elegant, strong, and unmistakably yours. Made around the District, in light that treats you like the subject you are.
Hair, makeup, and the gown are handled for you. Sit back while our artists bring out your best, then we build the whole thing into a piece of art you will actually want on the wall.
"The best photographer! Hunter Scott Imagery made my wedding day photos an absolute dream come true. He and his team were very responsive with any questions and on the day of my wedding he was prompt and professional. The photos were even better than I could have imagined! I cannot wait to hire him for future photography need."
"Hunter Scott is emblematic of the kind of professional photography you need for every event, every family moment, every business celebration, or momentous occasion. We were always pleased to work with this agency because we always knew the high level of quality and professionalism we would receive."
"I've been a TV/Film Producer for over 18 years and worked with a lot of still photographers. Brandon has a great eye, is pleasant and professional to work. His pictures come to life with beautiful colors and composition. His directing style makes the talent comfortable and happy to work with him. He always delivers on time and under budget."
The experience matters as much as the imagery.
A guided process that helps you make better choices and invest fully in the memories you are creating.
From the first consultation through your reveal session, the relationship we build is made to last — it does not end when the gallery is delivered.
As a photographer in Washington D.C., I set out to do this differently. If you dare to be different, so will we.
